Kitty & Dave // Edale Gathering
When Kitty and Dave first got in touch with me about their boho wedding in the Peak District, I was so thrilled – they were planning the most relaxed and laid back wedding with a beautiful church ceremony and a chilled out celebration in the depths of the Peak District. Kitty and Dave seemed like the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
I began the morning at Hope, where the bride and her family were getting ready together, and it was so chilled out, because everyone was in a good mood. Kitty wore a beautiful lace gown and Dave wore a quirky bow tie and they looked so dapper.
The wedding took place St Peter’s in Hope, and was a romantic church ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which everyone enjoyed. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then we did a confetti tunnel outside the church door.
The wedding reception took place at Edale Gathering, which they’d decorated with with bunting and paper lanterns. It was stunning. It was a bright and sunny day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, the couple mingled while I took captured shots of people laughing and chatting. My favourite photo from our couples session is from when we decided to climb Mam Tor – what a view!
After dinner they cut the wedding cake, then the party got started and everyone hit the dance floor. Kitty and Dave chose a ceilidh, which everyone enthusiastically got involved with and it went down a storm. They also had sparklers at the end of the night, which was so much fun.
Here’s their glorious boho wedding! If you are planning a wedding like this and need aa wedding photographer get in touch!
